Newfoundland and Labrador conducted its first round of Invitations to Apply (ITA) for 2026 on March 6, 2026, under the Expression of Interest (EOI) system. This marks the first selection round of the year for both the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
Total invitations issued: 445
NLPNP: 362 invitations
AIP: 83 invitations
This is the largest invitation round issued by the province to date, reflecting continued demand for skilled workers across key sectors.
The invitations were issued through the EOI system, where candidates must first submit a profile and be selected before they can proceed with a full application.
For employers, this confirms that the province continues to actively select candidates to address labour shortages. However, selection is no longer automatic, and only those meeting current labour market priorities will receive an invitation.
For candidates, receiving an invitation remains a required step before submitting a full application, and those selected are given 60 days to complete their submission.
